Delivery Performance Metrics

  • We provide three delivery performance metrics to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of jobs delivery process.

    • Delivery In Full (DIF)
      • This metric refers to the ability to complete and dispatch a job before the due date. It reflects the ability to meet customer expectations and fulfill its promises. To measure this, we use a metric which calculates the percentage of orders delivered on or before the due date. For example, if you had 100 orders in a given month and delivered 90 of them on or before the due date, the DIF would be 90%.
    • Delivery On Time (DOT)
      • This metric refers to the ability to complete a job with the required quantity. It reflects the ability to fulfill customer orders and prevent backorders. To measure this, we use a metric which calculates the percentage of orders that are delivered with the correct quantity. For example, if you had 100 orders in a given month and delivered 90 of them with the correct quantity, the DOT would be 90%.
    • Delivery In Full On Time (DIFOT)
      • This metric combines the above two metrics and refers to the ability to complete a job with the required quantity and dispatch it before the due date. It reflects the ability to meet customer expectations and fulfill promises with both quantity and timeliness. To measure this, we use a metric known which calculates the percentage of orders delivered on or before the due date with the correct quantity. For example, if you had 100 orders in a given month and delivered 90 of them on or before the due date with the correct quantity, the DIFOT would be 90%.
      • Only orders delivered both with full quantity and on time will be considered for the percentage. Others will negatively impact the percentage.

The Calculation

The Calculation involves the following steps:

  • To calculate the total number of jobs, the system considers all jobs that were created and completed between the From and To date range.
    • To determine the number of jobs that were supposed to be completed within the specified date range, the system considers all jobs whose due date is after the starting of the date range and on or before the current date.
    • The total number of jobs is the combination of jobs that were completed within the date range and the jobs that were supposed to be completed within the same date range.
  • Completed jobs refer to the jobs that have been marked as "delivered" and were delivered on time.
  • DOT: Delivery on time jobs refer to the completed jobs that were delivered on or before the due date. The system identifies such jobs based on their delivery status and the delivery time, which should be on or before the due date.
  • DIF: Delivery in full jobs refer to the completed jobs that were delivered with the required quantity. The system identifies such jobs based on their delivery status and the worked quantity, which should be greater than or equal to the required quantity.
  • DIFOT: The Delivery In Full On Time metric is achieved if a job satisfies both; delivery on time and delivery in full criteria.
