# Hardware Guide

To ensure a higher level of performance we recommend the following:

  • 1x Hue Bridge per open area.

  • 1x Hue Bridge per every 30 lights.

1. Pre-Requirements

  1. Setup your machine. Follow this guide {Add here}

  2. Complete SSF gateway setup. {Add link}

  3. Install Hue Sync Mobile App.

Note:

Choose a gateway that will be central to most andon lights that will be installed.

2. Bridge Setup

  1. Connect Hue Bridge to gateway LAN port.

  1. Power on controller.

  2. Wait 5 minutes

  3. Connect phone to gateway wifi. (Information found on Gateway setup guide)

  4. Install Hue Sync Mobile App to setup gateway.

  5. Open App.

  6. Click on 'Get Started', then 'Continue'.

  1. Review terms of use and click on 'I accept', then 'Continue', then 'No, continue', then 'No, continue', then 'No, continue'

  1. Click on 'Start setup'

  1. Select 'Search'

  2. Press button on Hue Bridge when indicated to.

  3. Select 'Continue'

  4. Select 'Update now' if prompted. Wait 10 minutes for Hue Bridge to update.

  5. Turn on auto updates if prompted.

  6. Once updated select 'Done'

  7. Close the app.

  8. Reopen the app and wait for it to reconnect to the gateway.

  9. Go to Settings

  10. Select 'Bridge Settings'

  11. Select 'Network Settings'

  12. Untoggle 'DHCP'

  13. Change 'IP ADDRESS' to 192.168.8.2

  14. Select 'SAVE'

  15. Close the app.

  16. Wait 5 minutes.

  17. Reopen the app.

  18. The app should now be connected ot the bridge again.

3. Connect Bridge to gateway

Once the bridge IP has been changed to 192.168.8.2.

  1. Restart the gateway.

  2. Wait for the WiFi lights to come on.

  1. Press the button on the bridge. {Crop image to circle area}

  1. Wait 20 seconds.

  2. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until the lights flash white for ten seconds. This flashing indicates the connection has been made and will be repeated every reboot of the gateway/hue bridge.
